apple hill adventures

Today, I am grateful for:  great friends who happen to be teachers!

workout: 3.1 treadmill miles in 39 minutes.

I’m officially off from school for 5  glorious weeks, counting after turkey day week, because we SHOULD be working today and tomorrow BUT we decided to take FURLOUGHS and PAYCUTS to ensure our CLASS SIZE remains small…I’m just sayin’. Anyway, I tend to get very bored very easily at home with nothing to do and no one to play with. In fact, it’s Bubba’s least favorite time, mostly because he finds the credit card bills a little higher than normal. What? You mean I’m NOT supposed to shop everyday while I’m not working?? 😉

So it’s great to have buddies who are teachers to play with during the day while our hubs are off working so we can spend their money. We decided that yesterday was our Apple Hill FURLOUGH day. And as you can see from the photos, it was COLD! The snow was gorgeous, so we had to take advantage and take a few snapshots.

The main reason we went up was for me to grab some delicous apple pies for our turkey day feast. We were going to do some wine tasting while we were up there, but since it was so dang cold, we decided against it. We went shopping instead. Ooh, but we got some MAD YUMMY apple donuts. They made them when you order them and the were delish! We each got a dozen to bring home so we could stuff ourselves and become our own turkey dinners. Fattie status, all the way.

We made a friend; his name is Frosty.

We headed over to the outlets, had lunch at the Spaghetti Factory, and purchased some things on WAY clearance. 🙂 Don’t you love shopping steals?

Tomorrow, I’m attempting to take a spinning class for the first time. I’ll let ya’ll know if I survive!
